The focus isn’t on me...it’s on him. Every move I make when working with our draft cross colts is observed and felt by them. They are such observant creatures. They are also very reactive. If I want them to be calm and trusting when they grow up it’s up to me. Every experience is magnified right now. Knowing this makes what I’m doing that much more important.

I put a lot of effort in and always let patience dictate each experience. It’s really paying off in how well adjusted our colts are.

Oh, this is Smoky. He’s a Percheron/Quarter Horse cross. From day one, he’s been curious and has the kindest eye. He’s coming along nicely. He’s going to be something when he matures!
